Role summary

This role is for a Research Laboratory Technician within the Bradford & West Yorkshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC). You will provide essential laboratory support for clinical trials, including processing, storing, and shipping research samples according to protocols and regulations. The position involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, managing stock and equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation and quality processes. Essential criteria

  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
  • Demonstrable knowledge of a range of routine and non-routine healthcare science duties equivalent to an NVQ level 3/diploma
  • Familiar with the laboratory Health and Safety principles
  • Knowledge of Pathology IT systems
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Understanding of Information Governance and Patient Confidentiality

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Laboratory Technician to join the Bradford & West Yorkshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC), supporting the delivery of a growing portfolio of innovative commercial clinical research.

Working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential laboratory support across a wide range of clinical trials. The role will include the receipt, preparation, processing, storage and shipment of research samples in accordance with study protocols, laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with research nurses, investigators and other research colleagues to ensure time-critical samples are processed accurately and efficiently. You will also support stock and equipment management, documentation, quality processes and the laboratory requirements for new and ongoing studies.
