Key responsibilities
- Carry out complex technical radiotherapeutic procedures on all treatment and pre-treatment units on a rotational basis.
- Undertake appropriate patient care, assess treatment progress and side effects, and make referrals to the multidisciplinary team.
- Assess patients' knowledge before treatment to participate in the informed consent process.
- Provide information, guide, instruct, and encourage patients receiving Radiotherapy, advising on aftercare.
- Operate and care for all Radiotherapy equipment.
- Perform calculations for treatment exposure and input/check treatment parameters on the database.
Essential criteria
- DCR(T) or BSc in Radiotherapy and registered with the HPCP
- Evidence of appropriate CPD activity where relevant
- Student training across the breath of the Radiotherapy process.
- Good communication skills

Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) is one of Europe's leading and largest cancer treatment centres. Clinical radiotherapy equipment comprises of six linear accelerators including five Truebeam units, image guidance technology and volumetric arc therapy (RapidArc) capabilities.
The Radiotherapy department is operational 7 days a week including bank holidays. External beam radiotherapy is routinely delivered between 8am-8pm Monday - Friday.
