Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Community Team Manager to join the West Norfolk Community Mental Health Team. The role involves providing operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, effective, and recovery-focused care for adults with complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for team performance, workforce management, clinical governance, and service improvement, working collaboratively with partners to achieve positive outcomes for service users and carers.
Key responsibilities
- Provide visible, compassionate and effective leadership for the West Norfolk Community Mental Health Team.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operational delivery of the Community Mental Health Team.
- Support, supervise and develop a multidisciplinary workforce.
- Ensure appropriate caseload management, workload allocation, capacity planning and workforce deployment.
- Maintain robust clinical governance processes, including risk management, safeguarding, and incident reporting.
- Lead service improvement and transformation initiatives, supporting the implementation of best practice and innovation.
Essential criteria
- Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management / supervision experience.
- Evidence of providing leadership in a Mental Health care environment including service development.
- Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip SW or Dip OT or equivalent, or HCPC registered
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working with Complex case management.
- Ongoing professional development working towards degree level

The post holder is responsible for team performance, workforce management, clinical governance, patient flow, risk management and service improvement, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for service users and carers.
