Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and enthusiastic band 4 research practitioner to join the Eye research team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The practitioner will support the delivery of clinical research studies in Ophthalmology, undertaking tasks such as venipuncture, vital sign recording, data documentation, and coordinating patient visits. Full training will be provided for specialist skills in ophthalmology assessments and imaging techniques. The position requires working closely with investigators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure studies adhere to protocols and Good Clinical Practice.
Essential criteria
- Minimum NVQ 3 plus additional experience OR NVQ4
Desirable criteria
- Degree in scientific/healthcare discipline
- Knowledge /undersatnding of healthcare environments
- Knowledge of ICH- Good Clinical Practice regulations relating to clinical research
- Medical knowledge/ terminology specific to the speciality
- Knowledge of clinical governance
- Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures
- Training and Experience
- Experience of working in a clinical or patient facing environment
- Proven experience of working to deadlines
- Proven experience of dealing with a busy workload
