Role summary
This role involves leading and supporting a Step 2 team within the Talking Therapies Service, ensuring effective and recovery-focused care for common mental health problems. The Senior PWP will manage a clinical caseload, provide line management, case management, and clinical supervision to Trainee and Qualified PWPs. Essential criteria
- A recognised qualification as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP).
- A minimum of one year's post-qualification experience working as a PWP.
- Current registration with the BABCP or BPS.
- Experience of delivering evidence-based low-intensity interventions for common mental health problems.
- Experience of conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments and managing complex clinical presentations.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support, motivate and develop others.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior PWP, you will play a key role in leading and supporting our Step 2 team, helping to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and recovery-focused care for people experiencing common mental health problems.
Alongside managing your own clinical caseload, you will provide line management, case management and clinical supervision to Trainee and Qualified PWPs, supporting their professional development and maintaining high clinical standards. You will carry out assessments, risk assessments and deliver evidence-based low-intensity interventions in both one-to-one and group settings, while working closely with the Clinical Director, Senior Therapists and Step 2 Lead.
