Role summary
This role is for an experienced CBT Supervisor to join Lincolnshire Children and Young People's (CYP) Services, specifically the Skegness and Horncastle Mental Health Support Team. The successful candidate will provide CBT supervision to various practitioners, including EMHPs and CBT Therapists, while also managing a small clinical caseload of CBT interventions for children and young people. The position involves supporting the development and delivery of psychological interventions, assisting trainees, and contributing to service-wide training. It offers hybrid working with clinical face-to-face work in the Skegness and Horncastle area.
Key responsibilities
- Provide assessment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a range of presenting difficulties.
- Offer training and supervision to both Low Intensity Practitioners and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists.
- Maintain a clinical caseload delivering CBT interventions to children and young people.
- Support the development and delivery of a wide range of psychological interventions.
- Coordinate and facilitate the CBT training offer across Children and Young People's (CYP) Services.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of continuing professional development opportunities for CBT practitioners.
Essential criteria
- Post Graduate Diploma in CBT and Accreditation with the BABCP Completed First Accreditation Audit with the BABCP
- Professional qualification such as Clinical Psychologist, Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or psychological therapy Completed Formal Supervisor Training
- Experience of working with Children and Young People and their carers
- Experience of offering CBT assessments and interventions - individual and group
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcome
- Experience of offering clinical and caseload management supervision
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets.
- Ability to manage own caseload and time.
- Demonstrates high standards in written communication.
- Able to write clear reports and letters to referrers.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has received training and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice.
- Understanding of issues surrounding clinical risk.
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
Desirable criteria
- Relevant Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in school and college settings
- Experience of offering clinical and caseload management supervision to both low and high intensity therapists

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, motivated, and organised CBT Supervisor to join Lincolnshire Children and Young People's (CYP) Services.
Due to significant investment and expansion within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and local Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), the successful applicant will join our Skegness and Horncastle Mental Health Support Team.
This role offers the opportunity to provide CBT supervision to a range of practitioners, including Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, and other professionals, while also maintaining a small clinical caseload delivering CBT interventions to children and young people within the service.
The role will involve supporting the development and delivery of a wide range of psychological interventions, assisting trainees to meet their training requirements, and contributing to the provision of training for the wider service.
You will join an established and supportive team of CBT Therapists, all of whom have extensive experience in supervising CBT trainees, Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioners, and EMHP trainees.
