Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Theatre Practitioner to join the anaesthetics team at St. Albans City Hospital. You will assist anaesthetists, manage equipment, and demonstrate leadership qualities. Job summary
Here at St. Albans City Hospital (SACH) Theatres we are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic theatre practitioners to join our friendly, professional multi-disciplinary team.
We offer rotational opportunities for staff in order for them to develop and/or maintain their skills.
Main duties of the job
We welcome both Registered Nurses and ODPs alike.
Applicants will need to possess good interpersonal skills in order to work effectively within the existing theatre teams whilst also having the ability to work under their own initiative.

Organising, preparing of anaesthetic room and relevant equipment pertinent to the operative list/schedule.
Assist the anaesthetist in the safe administration of an anaesthetic.
Ensure that they are competent in airway management, which should include periodical updating within the anaesthetic arena.
Participate in the cardiac arrest team when available (SACH site only).
Maintenance and support of specialist equipment.
