Role summary
This role involves delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people with serious and enduring mental health difficulties. You will manage a complex caseload, providing specialist assessment and evidence-based interventions. The position requires collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and active participation in service development and evaluation. It is a maternity leave backfill for 10 months.
Essential criteria
- First level professional nursing/AHP/Social Work/Therapy qualification in mental health, Social Work Nursing or AHP or equivalent with demonstrable knowledge and continuous post qualified experience/professional development
- Professional registration with HCPC, NMC or equivalent
- oExperience of integrating care delivery across multi-disciplinary /multi agency teams
- oEvidence of extensive post registration experience with working with those who may experience complex mental health needs in the community setting
Desirable criteria
- oExperience of working with clients at risk of admission.
- oExperience of working in a CAMHS, crisis or community setting.
- oKnowledge of relevant professional code of conduct
- oKnowledge of Children's Act, Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and DOLS
- oUnderstanding of psychological formulation
- oExperience of working in a crisis/intensive support model

The Children's and Young Peoples Mental Health Core Stafford team is recruiting maternity leave backfill for 10 months.
In the role you will deliver a high quality, comprehensive mental health service for children and young people with serious and enduring mental health difficulties. The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with children and young people and their families who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties.
Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative approach and will be skilled at-risk assessment and management. You will complement the multi-disciplinary working of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team Lead.
You will participate in team and service development and evaluation. Liaison, advice and consultation with a wide range of agencies is central to the role.
If you are an RMN / Social Worker / AHP with current registration or educated to degree level in mental health/social care / equivalent experience
