Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Capacity Manager to join the Site Management Team. The role involves gaining in-depth insight into patient flow, safety, and innovation as the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital prepares to open. You will work across sites to manage capacity and maintain excellent patient flow by collaborating with clinical teams, supporting services, and external partners. Key responsibilities include coordinating site safety and discharge meetings, ensuring timely patient discharges, and understanding national agendas related to patient flow.
Essential criteria
- oDemonstrable experience of working within an Acute Trust.
- oKnowledge of working with Electronic Patient Systems
- oDemonstratable NHS experience
Desirable criteria
- oKnowledge of complex discharge processes.
- oKnowledge of legal requirements.
- oGCE/GCSE English or equivalent, Grade C or above.
- oDegree or equivalent in management
- oDemonstrable experience of corporate processes driving change in clinical pathways
- oKnowledge of Patient Flow policies/targets/initiatives.
- oA specific understanding of the confidential nature of the work in hand.
- oIT Literate and experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Management/Supervision/Coordination skills
- oExcellent organisational skills
- oTo co-ordinate your own work flow and to assist with the co-ordination of workflows for temporary/new members of staff.
- oAbility to maintain complete and accurate record systems/databases.
- Written skills
- oTo be proficient in reading and writing
- oTo be able to write clear, concise messages involving complex medical terminology
- oTo be able to produce complex reports, analysing data and produce operational guidelines
