- oBSc in Audiology or equivalent
- oBAAT part 1 and 2
- oEvidence of Continuing Professional development or evidence of reflective profile
- oSatisfactory attendance records throughout training period
- oWillingness to undertake new clinical practices, education and training that will enhance
Desirable criteria
- oRCCP Registration
- oExperience of using Practice Navigator Patient Management system
- oExperience of using Unity systems, Genie & Connex, Target hearing aid fitting software
- oAt least 12 months practical experience
- oEvidence of experience of competence of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological procedures.
- oExperience of vestibular function tests
- oExperience of paediatric testing
- oExperience of providing Domiciliary service
- Communication and relationship skills
- oDemonstrates the ability to communicate well in a variety of settings with patients of all cultures and with differing levels of understanding
- oAbility to develop and maintain effective interpersonal skills and relationships with colleagues across the health setting
- oAble to maintain accurate patient records
- oUnderstands confidentiality and data protection requirements in relation to own professional practice and in the supervision of others

Applicants should have a BSc Audiology Honours degree or equivalent and have had at least one years experience working within a Hearing Services department.
Main duties of the job
The successful individual will be responsible for delivering comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services for adults, in a variety of clinical settings. The workload will involve working across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The new audiologist will be given the opportunity to undertake rehabilitation and vestibular work within the department, as well as being offered the opportunity to undertake some research as required.
