Role summary

This role is for an organised and proactive Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative and business support within Children's Community AHP Services. The successful candidate will manage administrative systems, produce reports, and support clinical and operational teams to meet service objectives. It requires strong administrative experience, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The post is primarily based in Tamworth, with occasional travel across Southern Staffordshire.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent level of experience)
  • OCR/ RSA III or equivalent experience
  • To undertake training, where necessary to ensure own personal development and to develop new skills necessary to successfully carry out duties of this post.

Desirable criteria

  • BTEC Diploma in Business Administration (Level 1)
  • Significant experience in administration duties.
  • Previous experience of setting up office/ administrative systems
  • Experience of analytical processes
  • Ability to plan, schedule and organise day-to-day work
  • Handling sensitive data
  • Experience in the NHS
  • Knowledge/ Experience of Patient Clinical System
  • Skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Good working knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to receive instruction and respond as necessary
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise own workload and act on own initiative to agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and maintain professional relationships with work colleagues and senior post holders within the Trust.
  • Strong keyboard skills
  • Understanding of Community Paediatric and AHP Services
  • Personal Attributes
  • Ability to demonstrate the positive application of Trust's behaviours.

Business Support Officer (fixed term/internal secondment)

Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking for a rewarding role within Children's Community AHP Services?

We are seeking a Business Support Officer (30 hours) to provide high-quality administrative and business support, helping our teams deliver effective services to children, young people, and their families.

You will have strong administrative experience, excellent organisational skills, and confidence using Microsoft Office applications. Experience in data analysis, report production, and presenting information is essential, along with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
