Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and experienced Education Lead to join the Public Health Service. You will design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality education programmes, ensuring staff receive training that supports evidence-based practice and meets professional standards. The role involves promoting a positive learning culture, supporting apprentices and students, and implementing NICE guidance. You will also contribute to workforce policies and quality improvement initiatives, providing specialist educational leadership.
Essential criteria
- You'll need to have a Level 6 Degree in Nursing or Midwifery as well as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with a Health Visiting Qualification
- Proven ability to work effectively within your area of practice, supported by relevant experience. As well as managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others
- You will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, with a current registration.
- Knowledge and skills
- You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
- You will understand where to signpost clients and families to alternative services to support behaviour change and improve health
- You will have knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks. You will fully understand the role and remit of a health care worker.
Desirable criteria
- Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
- Working enviroment
- A full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country) and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role.
