Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and experienced Education Lead to join the Public Health Service. You will design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality education programmes, ensuring staff receive training that supports evidence-based practice and meets professional standards. Essential criteria

  • You'll need to have a Level 6 Degree in Nursing or Midwifery as well as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with a Health Visiting Qualification
  • Proven ability to work effectively within your area of practice, supported by relevant experience. As well as managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others
  • You will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, with a current registration.
  • Knowledge and skills
  • You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
  • You will understand where to signpost clients and families to alternative services to support behaviour change and improve health
  • You will have knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks. You will fully understand the role and remit of a health care worker.

  • Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance

  • A full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country) and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role. Job summary

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Education Lead to join our Public Health Service and drive excellence in learning, development, and professional practice.

This exciting role will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality education programmes, ensuring staff have access to training that supports evidence-based practice and meets professional and regulatory standards.
