Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a HCPC/NMC registered ODP/RN with an anaesthetic qualification to join the Theatre Team as a Band 6 Team Leader at Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust. The role involves working within a busy theatres complex covering various specialities, providing support and knowledge to patients, and acting as a role model with strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high standards of patient care within a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Essential criteria
- Registered ODP, current HPC registration ( applicable to ODP) or Registered Nurse, current NMC registration ( applicable to RN)
- Qualification relevant to specialist area (ALS,Diploma/Degree in Specialised Theatre Practice,ENB 182/176,HEA605)or equivalent course
- Teaching and assessing qualification (C&G 730, ENB 998, D32, D33, D34, D36 or can demonstrate other teaching and assessing certificate.)
- Post registration qualification in specialty

- Diploma
- Understanding and knowledge relating to political and professional issues
- Evidence of expert knowledge in one area of practice
- Knowledge of Trust/NHS performance targets
- Ability to work in changing environments
- Excellent communication skills

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust (LUHFT) for a HCPC/NMC registered ODP/RN with anaesthetic qualification to join the Theatre Team as a Band 6 Team Leader.We have over 20 operating theatres covering all major specialities, including: General surgery, Urology (including robotic surgery), Breast and Endocrine. Renal Transplant, Ophthalmic surgery, Upper G I, Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Radiology and Emergency surgery. Also including off site Dental surgery and Clatter bridge cancer services.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is looking to further their career and embrace a peri-operative role with a commitment to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients within our busy theatres complex. We are proud of our ethos of providing a supportive, team orientated environment. We provide an in-depth induction and an excellent preceptorship package for all applicants. The successful applicant will work within the theatres team in anaesthetics. There would be opportunity to rotate within the disciplines and this would be supported by the theatre team.
