Role summary

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a motivated Breast Oncology specialist team. We require a nurse who really cares about their contribution to patient care, their working environment, and their colleagues.The Breast Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist will be an advanced and experienced practitioner within the Breast Cancer Team. They will be accountable for implementing Personalised Care in the cohort of patients and will work with the Head of Nursing to implement strategies to improve patient experience and quality of care.
As an Oncology CNS, they will demonstrate that they are working at an advanced level under the ACCEND program.
The role of Clinical Nurse Specialist requires a high degree of personal professional autonomy and making clinical judgements. Taking sole and joint responsibility for the patient and procedure during oncology-related diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to ensure a successful patient-based outcome within the acute/community setting, which will require assessment, planning and implementation of treatment.
Main duties of the job
- Act as the key worker for patients with breast patients undergoing oncological treatment (Breast Medical Oncology and Breast Clinical Oncology Consultant Team)
- Providespecialist clinical adviceon:
- Treatment modalities (systemic therapies, radiotherapy)
- Treatment side-effect manag
