Role summary
This role involves supporting the Recreation and Occupational Therapy teams to deliver therapeutic activities for adults in acute mental health care. You will plan, organise, and facilitate engaging group activities, welcoming service users to the recreational service. The position is part-time, 22.5 hours per week, including regular weekend shifts, with working hours between 9-5 or 12-8 pm. It offers opportunities for growth through training and coaching.
Essential criteria
- Can communicate at all levels
- Can communicate effectively in written and verbal english
- Has experience of working in a care setting i.e. hospital environment
- Has experince of working in the field of mental health
- Has experience of working with diverse needs of clients with mental health
- Has experience of working with behaviours that challenge
- Is aware of own limitations and when to seek support / guidance
- Food hygiene certificate
- NVQ Level 3 in health care or equivalent experience
- Communication

Job summary

As the post holder, you will play a key role in supporting the Recreation and Occupational Therapy teams to deliver meaningful therapeutic activities and foster recovery across our two sites: the Radbourne Unit and the newly built Carsington Unit (Kingsway Site).
Your responsibilities will include carrying out delegated duties, welcoming service users to the recreational service and planning, organising and facilitating engaging group activities.
We currently have one part-time position available at 22.5 hours per week, including regular weekend shifts. Our team operates seven days a week, including evenings, with working hours between 9-5 or 12-8 pm.
