Role summary
This is a permanent, full-time Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist position at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The role involves providing high-quality patient-centred care, working autonomously with a designated caseload, and contributing to service development. Essential criteria

- Evidence of ongoing MSK CPD since qualification

- Relevant post registration experience at Band 5 level in core areas including MSK and orthopaedics
- Clinical experience - Previous experience as a qualified physiotherapist in managing a musculoskeletal caseload
- Experience of working as part of an MDT in clinical practice.
- Evidence of active participation in in-service
- The ability to clinically reason the application of appropriate assessment and treatment techniques in a variety of clinical settings.
- The ability to use reflective practice as a tool for growth and development
- Awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences and beliefs.
- Understanding of the professional and legal responsibilities of clinical practice
- Evidence of effective self-management including time, prioritisation, clinical caseload and stress
- The ability to guide and direct therapy assistants and students in clinical practice
- Excellent communication skills with patients, relatives, staff and external contacts, including in challenging situations, demonstrating respect and kindness.

As a department we are committed to working as a team to provide high quality patient centred care. We currently have a vacancy for a band 6 MSK physiotherapist with strong team working ethic who shares this vision. By working with us you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to service development and supportive of continuing professional development.
Our service receives referrals from our Hospital Consultants in T&O, Rheumatology and Pain. We also treat staff members and receive a small number of referrals from other Trusts.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide sound clinical expertise to more junior staff and coordinate and deliver high quality care. They will be a role model for expert clinical care, and lead on specific projects / service developments and management functions as delegated by the Band 7 therapist, Clinical Lead Therapist or APP Team. They will role model the identified Trust values at all times.
