Key responsibilities

  • Support the Team Manager in developing operational and clinical service mechanisms.
  • Act as an exemplar professional role model, embracing core values of dignity, respect, care, and compassion.
  • Undertake mental health assessments, risk assessments, care planning, and implementation/review of services.
  • Care coordinate those on CPA, ensuring reviews align with policy and guidelines.
  • Provide structured therapeutic interventions with complex clients in one-to-one or group settings.
  • Manage a caseload and prioritise effectively.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or Social Worker , Occupational therapist

Job summary

The Mental Health Team is part of the integrated Healthcare provision at HMP Peterborough. The team consists of Senior Mental Health Nurse's,occupational Therapist, Perinatal Specialists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and support worker. The Mental Health Team covers a seven-day service, thepost holder will work as a core member of the team delivering and providing a comprehensive safe, effective mental health service thatencompasses primary and secondary mental health provision within the prison, ensuring a Trauma Informed co-produced recovery focussedservice.The post holder will utilise a variety of practical and theoretical knowledge with the team to deliver both individual and group workings with service users open to the Mental Health Team, following the stepped care model.
