Role summary
Join a dynamic team of health visitors in West Berkshire, delivering core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families. You will develop and implement care plans, provide family support using the Solihull approach, and facilitate health promotion activities. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for working with children and families, and a commitment to team working and flexibility.
Essential criteria
- Registered Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) active on the NMC register
- Non-medical prescriber
- S.L.I.C.E/ENB 998 or equivalent
- Continuous Professional Development
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Previous Experience
- Experience in management of cases where a child has a protection plan

- Teaching experience
- Knowledge, skills and abilities
- High standard of clinical work
- Basic IT skills/prepared to undertake training
- Knowledge of current policies and key drivers to improve the health outcomes of children
- Presentation skills
- Good communication skills
- Leadership skills

- Reflective and innovative practitioner
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to delegate appropriately

- Car Driver who holds full driving licence

Job summary

Whether you are an experienced health visitor or newly qualified, we will ensure you receive individualised and effective support from both your health visiting line manager and colleagues within your team.
You will work within the West Berkshire area to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families. You will require excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, along with great communication skills and a passion for working with children and families.
A commitment to team working, flexibility and working with partners is essential, as you will collaborate with Children's Centre's in the implementation of the Healthy Child Programme underpinned by the Solihull Approach model of working.
