Role summary

This role is for an experienced Nurse with a passion for Acute Medicine to join the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU). You will support Unit Managers in providing excellent patient care, ensuring high standards of nursing, and leading the team. The MAU is a busy 23-bedded unit treating various medical conditions, committed to staff development and training. The position requires strong leadership and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • NMC recognised Mentorship qualification

Job summary

Team MAU are looking for experienced Nurses with a passion for Acute Medicine. If you have a passion for Acute medical Nursing, can work effectively in a fast paced environment can keep you head under pressure whilst supporting junior staff ,then you are exactly what we need on MAU.

We are a busy 23 bedded unit, which takes referrals from the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care and GP admissions. We treat a variety of medical conditions, along with acutely unwell service users. We are an established team consisting of excellent multi disciplinary working, various skills and knowledge, who prides ourselves on striving to achieve our shared vision of moving forward and raising standards.

Here on MAU we are committed to building on your existing skills and knowledge and welcome the opportunity to develop you. Full support will be given to your personal and professional development through regular appraisals; in house training sessions and study time.
