Role summary
The Medical HR Team Leader will provide day-to-day leadership and coordination for the Medical HR team, ensuring a professional and customer-focused service. Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, or experience in a medical/general HR team as a senior administrator or advisor
- Evidence of continued professional development

- CIPD qualified
- Knowledge/Experience
- Significant administrative experience in an NHS environment.
- Experienced in NHS systems including ESR.
- Working knowledge of Medical & Dental Terms and Conditions of service and employment legislation/law
- Experience using Excel to present information/reporting.
- Experience of providing assurance reporting
- Experience of coordinating a number of workstreams/operations with limited scope for margin for error
- Experience of working to deadlines
- Experience of analysing and translating data into workable and resolution focussed activity to support continuous improvement
- Experience of supervising staff

Job summary
The Medical HR Team Leader will provide day-to-day leadership and coordination across the Medical HR team, ensuring the delivery of a professional, responsive and customer-focused service to managers, medical staff and key stakeholders. The postholder will support the effective management of medical workforce systems, processes and procedures, including recruitment, rota administration, temporary staffing, medical bank and agency locum arrangements, compliance monitoring and workforce reporting.
Working closely with the Medical HR Manager and wider senior team, the postholder will help translate workforce priorities into operational delivery, ensuring that team members are supported, processes are continually reviewed and high standards are maintained in line with Trust and national requirements. The role will involve providing specialist advice and guidance on medical workforce matters, supporting recruitment campaigns and workforce initiatives, and ensuring accurate data and management information is available to inform decision-making, reporting and service improvement.
