Role summary
The Band 6 Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide specialist nursing care and act as a key worker for patients with urological cancers. This role involves coordinating cancer treatment pathways, delivering agreed cancer therapies, and undertaking nurse-led clinics. The post holder will also support renal cancer and nephrostomy services, participate in multidisciplinary team working, and provide expert advice on treatment options. They will contribute to Holistic Needs Assessment, Personalised Care and Support Planning, and service improvement activities.

Job summary
The Band 6 Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide specialist nursing care and act as key worker for patients with urological cancers.
The post holder will coordinate and facilitate cancer treatment pathways, deliver and monitor agreed cancer therapies within established competencies, undertake nurse-led clinics, support renal cancer and nephrostomy services, attend Patient Tracking List meetings, participate in multidisciplinary team working, and provide expert advice regarding treatment options and treatment-related side effects. The post holder will contribute to Holistic Needs Assessment, Personalised Care and Support Planning, cancer pathway monitoring, governance, audit and service improvement activities,BCG and Mitomycin administration. Prostate cancer hormone therapy clinics. ensuring patients receive high-quality, personalised care throughout their cancer journey.
Main duties of the job
