Role summary
This role is for a passionate and dedicated Student Nurse or Registered Nurse to join the trauma orthopaedics team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals. The position is on Ward 11, a new trauma unit focusing on acute injuries requiring surgical input. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care in a fast-paced environment. - Cannulation and venepuncture.

- Qualifications Academic/ Craft/ Professional
- First Level Registered Nurse
- Critical care skills
- Knowledge Requirements
- Well developed communication skills and time management.
- Effective organisational abilities.
- Contractual Requirements
- Continued Professional Development. Regular Attendance.
- Ability to work flexibly within working hours of ward/department.
- Demonstrate professionalism and patient advocacy
- Experience in an acute setting

The Division of Surgery, Anaesthetics & Critical Care is an integral part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals. We comprise specialist wards across a range of surgical disciplines including colorectal, general surgery, trauma orthopaedics, elective orthopaedics, day case, adult critical care and theatres. We pride ourselves on our collaborative culture and commitment to excellent training and education.
Ward 11 will be part of our trauma unit, admitting patients with acute injuries that regularly require surgical input. This fast-paced and dynamic environment will focus on delivering high-quality care to patients both pre- and post-operatively.
