Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Health & Justice team at HMP High Down. You will assess and treat patients within the prison, manage a defined caseload, and contribute to multi-disciplinary team working. The position involves promoting health and well-being, undertaking risk assessments, and ensuring effective pre-release care planning for patients in a secure environment.

- Evidence of professional development since registration
Desirable criteria
- Post registration qualification that enhances clinical work: CBT, DBT, Dual Diagnosis, etc.
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Paid/unpaid relevant to job
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of care co-ordinating within CPA framework
- Experience of working in community setting
- Experience of mentoring or supervising students
- Experience of working in a Prison or forensic environment
- ATTITUDES, APTITUDES, PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Motivated to maintain the highest standards possible in the service.
- Able to accept constructive feedback.
- Able to ask for support where required
