Key responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety by following clinical procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately record donor and donation information using electronic and manual systems.
  • Work closely with colleagues in a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional donor care and efficient donor sessions.

Job summary

We are recruiting for two full-time fixed-term positions.

Job Summary

As a Donor Carer with NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), youll be at the heart of the donor experience, supporting the people whose generosity helps provide life-saving blood and blood products to patients across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in healthcare, with comprehensive training and ongoing development to help you grow your skills and confidence. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll make a meaningful contribution every day by delivering excellent care, creating positive donor experiences and helping ensure a safe and reliable blood supply for those who need it most.

The role involves working a variety of hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays but no night shifts!

You will be working on a shift basis but, the normal hours for this role are 4 days per week/ 8 days per fortnight. Early shifts start at 08:00 and finish 17:00. Late shifts start at 11:00 and finish 20:00, this will be 8.33 hour days.
