Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and flexible Senior Physiotherapist to join the Community Recovery Service. The service provides integrated health and social care for adults needing rehabilitation and reablement after illness or injury, aiming to restore and maximise function. The successful candidate will manage a specialist clinical caseload, providing high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to adults in the Hounslow Community Recovery Service. They will develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes and work closely with a multi-agency team.
Essential criteria
- Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC membership
- Evidence of personal/professional development portfolio
Desirable criteria
- CSP membership
- Membership of relevant specialist interest group
- Broad range of rotational posts
- Completed Band 5 Physiotherapy rotations and / or approximately 2 years Band 5 Community Physiotherapy experience
- Experience in MSK, Orthopaedics, Respiratory, Medical, Frailty, Rehabilitation, Neurology and Elderly Care
- Specific experience in Intermediate care / rapid response.
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of delegation to junior colleagues
- Involvement in audit, research and / or service development
- Experience of supervision of junior staff, students or rehabilitation assistants
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of adult and elderly care treatment and rehabilitation strategies
- Experience of teaching other physiotherapy staff members, patients and other health care professionals
- Understand the legal responsibilities of the profession
- Remain updated with professional practice and new research
- Understanding of National Health plans and implementations
- Understanding of clinical governance and its implications

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible clinician with excellent clinical reasoning skills to join the Community Recovery Service.
The Community Recovery service is an integrated health and social care service for adults identified with uni and multi-disciplinary needs for recovery. The service will support independence by providing rehabilitation and reablement after an acute illness, injury or change in life circumstances. It aims to restore and maximise function or prevent deterioration in physical, psychological and social functioning through episodes of rehabilitation and reablement.
Therapists provide support and rehabilitation in the home.
The Community Recovery Service provides therapy for various pathways including: Core/ general rehabilitation, Discharge to Assess Reablement (CRS+) Integrated discharge hub at west Middlesex hospital. All health and social care professionals within the Community Recovery Service will have a set of core skills that all staff in the team are able to deliver regardless of profession. This supports the single assessment process, maximises use of resources and minimises duplication.
