Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and competent Nursing Associate to join the Specialist Nursing Bladder and Bowel Team. You will deliver high-quality patient care with minimal direct supervision, supporting registered nurses and providing general and specific care. The role involves contributing to care planning, referring to other agencies, and providing clinical support to the Continence Assessment and Treatment Service. You will work independently within defined pathways and supervise junior staff.
Essential criteria
- Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care or working towards. Or Registered as a nurse in another country Or Willing to work towards a level 5 apprenticeship in health & social care over a 24 month period under annex 21 of agenda for change terms and conditions.
- A minimum of C grade GSCE in English & mathematics or equivalent e.g. level 2 functional skills in numeracy & literacy
- Experience & Knowledge
- Two years previous experience working and communicating with the public in a health/social setting
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team in health/social care or education
- Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to overcome barriers to communication
- Ability to follow protocols and able to use own initiative to problem solve
- Able to work independently without direct supervision
- Advanced IT skills e.g. spreadsheets, PowerPoint or ECDL qualification (Willing to undertake further training)

Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and competent Nursing Associateto join our Specialist Nursing Bladder and Bowel Team.
