Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) team within an inpatient setting. You will deliver high-quality assessments and therapeutic interventions for older adults with mental ill health, focusing on functional ability, risk management, and recovery goals. The role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing supervision to junior staff, and contributing to service development initiatives. Essential criteria
- Post graduate experience working in Older People's Mental Health
- Post graduate training relevant to the specialist field of older peoples mental health
- Extensive experience working as part of a multi disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a mental health inpatient setting
- Supervision of junior staff and students
- Degree in O.T.
- State registered with Health Professions Council.
- Practice placement qualification
- Qualified for a minimum of 18 months
