Role summary
This role is for a dedicated Senior Radiographer with a specialist interest in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (C.Lab) procedures. The successful candidate will work across all WUTH sites, participating in 24/7 rosters and on-call services for both plain imaging and IR/C.Lab. They will act as a senior coordinator in plain film, train and develop staff, and contribute to quality assurance programs. The position involves rotation through various departments including ED, MSK, GP clinics, theatres, and critical care.
Key responsibilities
- Work within IR/CL, with rotation through ED, MSK clinics, GP clinics, theatres, and provide portable service to wards and critical care departments.
- Act as senior and co-ordinator within plain film to ensure effective and efficient running of the service.
- Report to Principal Radiographers for Plain Imaging and IR/CL, escalating issues and devising solutions.
- Ensure excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders to meet service demands.
- Be responsible for the training and development of radiographic staff and contribute to their CPD.
- Participate in the QA programme for the plain imaging service and be incorporated into the IR on-call service.
Essential criteria
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR Equivalent
- HCPC Registered
- Ability to participate in 24/7 rosters and flexible approach
- Minimum of 18 months experience post qualification as a band 5 or above
- Up to date CPD portfolio

- Experience of supporting and teaching junior staff and undergraduate student radiographers
- Experience of taking the lead role and ability to work under pressure

Job summary
We are looking to recruit dedicated radiographer to work within the plain imaging department across all WUTH sites (Arrowe Park, Clatterbridge, St Catherine's and Victoria Central Hospitals). This staff member will have a specialist interest in IR/Cath Lab and will be trained to cover both areas and participate in the OOH service for both plain imaging and IR/C.Lab
