Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Registered Midwife to join the outpatient maternity team, working in the day assessment unit and antenatal clinics. It involves providing antenatal midwifery care, conducting screening tests, running obstetric and midwife clinics, and performing administrative tasks. There are opportunities to lead and develop specialist clinics. The position offers a dynamic mix of clinical midwifery with a good work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide antenatal midwifery care.
- Take and follow up laboratory samples.
- Conduct antenatal screening tests and make referrals to screening team/fetal medicine.
- Manage the day-to-day running of obstetric clinics.
- Run Midwife clinics, including VBAC and Anti D.
- Perform administrative tasks such as referrals, booking appointments, and ultrasound scans.
- Provide scheduled care in the day assessment unit, including CTG monitoring, Pre-op assessments, IV infusions, and Obstetric review.

Providing scheduled care in day assessment unit such as CTG monitoring, Pre-op assessments, IV infusions and Obstetric review, supporting our BSOTS Triage system.
