Role summary
Join a nationally recognised specialist centre providing healthcare for women, babies, and families, including a new CT and MRI service. This role involves working as an enthusiastic and flexible Radiology Department Assistant within a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure high standards of patient care and quality of examinations under supervision. The position requires working within the Imaging Department, which specialises in various imaging modalities, and may involve working at satellite community sites and some weekend shifts.
Essential criteria
- GCSE English and Math's or equivalent.
- National Care Certificate or commitment to complete as part of the induction process.
- Vocational (NVQ) qualifications level 3 in care or equivalent experience.
Desirable criteria
- Cannulation Training
- Experience working in the NHS in a clinical setting.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of Trust and department policies and procedures after a short period of induction and training
- Computer literacy for the use of department computer system and PACS. Following a short period of induction and training
- Previous Experience of Working in a Radiology department
- Skills, Knowledge & Aptitudes
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to use own initiative and work under pressure
- Ability to support colleagues and work as part of a team.
- Excellent and effective communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate compassionate values and behaviors.
- Knowledge of Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations. IR(ME)R.
- Knowledge of MR safety procedures.
- Competent in cannulation.

Job summary
Come and join a forward thinking Nationally recognised Specialist Centre, providing excellent healthcare for women, babies and their families. In addition to our core Obstetrics, Maternity, Neonatal and Gynaecology services we have recently established a CT and MRI service as part of the Crown Street Community Diagnostic Centre.**** This is an exciting development and provides CT and MRI to the region as well as to the Women and babies at LWH.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible RDA to join our Imaging Team; to work within the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care and quality of examinations within the Radiology Department, under the direction and supervision of an appropriate Registered Health Care Professional.
The Imaging Department is a forward thinking and friendly team specialising in general x-ray, fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI and CT.
As well as providing care on the Liverpool Women's Crown Street site there is a requirement with this post to work within our satellite Community sites as required.
The role will be part of a shift rota and will require some weekend daytime working.
