Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Dermatology Department. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality specialist dermatology care to a broad spectrum of patients. The post holder will advise primary and secondary care clinicians, provide services in accordance with national and local guidance, and abide by legal and statutory rules relating to practice. This role may be offered under Annex 21 AfC Terms & Conditions.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse
  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practice
  • Educated to Degree level, or working towards
  • In date with NMC Revalidation
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Mentorship - completion of in-house practice assessors' workshop for student nurses
  • Specialist training relevant to role including Phototherapy Course, PDT and Patch Testing Course and yearly updates

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Dermatology Department

You must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team and deliver a high quality of specialist dermatology cares, to a broad spectrum of patients.

The post holder will be expected to advise primary and secondary care clinicians as appropriate about the setting up, implementation, delivery and evaluation of patient care utilising evidence based practice.

In addition, the post holder will be expected to provide a service in accordance with national, regional and local guidance, standards and protocols and polices to ensure the most positive outcome for the patients are achieved.

The post holder will abide by legal requirements and statutory rules relating to practice and promote and maintain standards of professional practice in accordance with The Nursing and Midwifery Councils (NMC) Code and Professional Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice.
