Role summary
NHS Grampian is seeking a Locum Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon for an 11-month fixed-term appointment. The role involves participating in a 1:6 Paediatric Trauma on-call rota and contributing a subspecialist interest in elective adult orthopaedics, ideally in Lower Limb Arthroplasty, Soft Tissue Knee Surgery, or Foot & Ankle Surgery. The position is based across Woodend Hospital and the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, joining a department of 29 Orthopaedic Consultants. This post offers an opportunity to work in a busy and diverse orthopaedic service within the Grampian region, which also serves as a tertiary referral centre for Highland, Shetland, and Orkney.
