Role summary
This is a fixed-term opportunity for a motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Respiratory, Surgery & Critical Care Therapy Team at Barnet Hospital. The role involves providing occupational therapy intervention for patients with complex needs in ward and intensive care areas, including those with respiratory, cardiac, medical, surgical, and critical care conditions. You will also have team leadership responsibilities, supervising junior staff and students, and contributing to service development and audit. Job summary
We have a new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Respiratory, Surgery & Critical Care Therapy Team at Barnet Hospital - part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post is fixed term, (up to September 2027), full time (37.5 hours per week), but flexible working may be considered.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapist with experience of working in the acute setting with patients with complex needs. Full induction; access to training; joint working and ongoing support will be provided from the friendly and dedicated therapists within the team and wider department. This includes team lead and clinical specialist OTs and the inpatient therapy lead who is also an OT.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting and challenging post, providing Occupational Therapy intervention for patients in both ward and intensive care areas, with respiratory, cardiac, medical, surgical and critical care conditions. This includes ventilated patients and those with tracheostomy or laryngectomy.
