Role summary
The Partnerships Officer will support the NHS Transforming People Services (TPS) programme by coordinating engagement and partnership activities with Trade Unions and key workforce stakeholders. This role involves ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement to implement programme objectives successfully. It's an opportunity to redefine how people services are delivered across the NHS and influence the experience of the workforce, ultimately supporting better patient outcomes. The postholder will act as a key point of contact for Trade Union representatives and wider stakeholders, working closely with the Partnerships Lead.
Essential criteria
- CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualification in HR & OD.
- Experience of partnership working, employee relations or workforce engagement within complex NHS, healthcare or public sector organisations.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with recognised Trade Unions.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working effectively with senior leaders, executives and programme boards.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of HR and OD and People Services within the NHS.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective partnership working relationships with a range of Trade Unions and key stakeholders.
- Clear communicator with excellent written and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately to a diverse and varied range of audiences consisting of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to provide and receive, convey and present highly complex, sensitive and/or contentious information to large groups, responding openly to questions to ensure full understanding and engagement.
- Demonstrable experience managing programme risks, issues, dependencies and to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives.

The Partnership Officer will play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of the Transforming People Services (TPS) programme by coordinating engagement and partnership activities with Trade Unions and key workforce stakeholders across the NHS.
