Role summary
This role involves training to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, delivering low-intensity psychological interventions for common mental health problems like depression and anxiety. Trainees will attend university teaching, self-directed study, and clinical practice, managing a high-volume caseload with supervision. Upon successful completion, there's an opportunity for a substantive contract and registration with BABCP or BPS.
Essential criteria
- A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent (e.g., Registered Nurses and AHPs). OR 2 Advanced Level GCEs (A-C) or equivalent (e.g., B-tec, GNVQ, NVQ Level 3 and 4).
- Significant experience working with adults who have experienced a mental health problem (a minimum of 12 months experience would be expected) OR 3 years part-time voluntary experience with an established charity (such as MIND, Samaritans) offering interventions to people experiencing common mental health issues
