Role summary
This role involves assisting in the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical devices, and being part of the management team responsible for the department's daily operations. You will ensure compliance with Decontamination Compliance ISO-13485 and manage a team. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and includes staff appraisals and 1-to-1s.
Essential criteria
- Previous Sterile Services reprocessing experience
- Previous NHS experience
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Must be able to use a P/C and understand basic IT skills
- Must understand sterilisation and decontamination procedures.
- Must have the flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and a weekend on call service rota
- Institute of decontamination sciences TVQ level 1 or 2
- Educated to GSCS level or equivalent level of education, training, or experience
- Knowledge and Experience
