Role summary

This role is for a motivated and resilient Nurse Specialist to join the Cardiology patient flow team within the Cardiorespiratory CSU. The successful candidate will manage patient flow and placement at the Leeds General Infirmary site, including patients from Cardiology, Cardiac surgery, and the Regional Coronary Care Unit. They will support ward teams and the discharge team to ensure timely patient movement and placement. Problem-solving and good communication skills are essential for this position.

Registered Nurse (Level 1)

Patient flow role or experience

Discharge role or experience.

Main duties of the job

A vacancy within the Cardiorespiratory CSU has become available for a motivated, dynamic, and resilient individual to join the Cardiology patient flow team. The successful individual will have had some experience of managing patient flow and/or patient placement at Band 5 or Band 6 level. The individual should be able to problem solve effectively and efficiently. We are looking for someone who is reliable with good communication skills. Cardiology knowledge is not essential but would be beneficial to the candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe patient placement at the LGI site, this will include patients from Cardiology, Cardiac surgery, and the Regional Coronary Care Unit. The candidate will also support the flow through L14 Cardiology day
