Role summary
This role involves providing mindfulness-based interventions to patients and staff within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will deliver MBCT courses, workshops, and training, and support staff in delivering MBCT to patients. Additionally, the role includes providing supervision to clinical staff and contributing to the development and operational delivery of MBCT services. The post requires an autonomous practitioner to coordinate MBCT groups and engage in service evaluation.
Essential criteria
- A recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions e.g. psychiatric nursing, clinical psychology, medicine, social work and occupational therapy or equivalent experience to work in the mental health field.
- MBCT training recognised as meeting Good Practice Guidelines by the British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA)
Desirable criteria
- Listed as a mindfulness-based Practitioner with the British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA)
- Significant experience of working in a core mental health profession, including: Clinical work with patients drawn from a wide range of diagnostic groups. Experience of working with acute and chronic anxiety disorders and depression
- Experience of working with complex presentations beyond the scope of this post e.g. severe and enduring mental health problems
- A recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions e.g. psychiatric nursing, clinical psychology, medicine, social work and occupational therapy or equivalent experience to work in the mental health field.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
