This is an exciting Band 5 Occupational Therapist vacancy within St Andrew's Centre for Burns and Plastics. The role involves developing knowledge and skills in this specialist area, assessing and treating patients, and facilitating safe discharge. Key responsibilities
- Undertakes comprehensive/standardised Occupational Therapy assessments addressing occupational performance and skill deficits.
- Manages and accepts clinical responsibility for a caseload of patients, prioritising and delegating work to assistants.
- Works as an autonomous Occupational Therapist, aware of team needs.
- Supports and supervises other team members and students.
- Liaises with health and social care professionals, providing reports, recommendations, and referrals.
Essential criteria
- HCPC registration as Occupational Therapist
- Qualified or soon to qualify with Graduate Diploma or Degree in Occuptional Therapy
- Broad range of core OT placements as a student, with an understanding of the OT role in the acute hospital settingExperience of working within in a multi-disciplinary team in an acute hospital setting
- Experience in the application of the OT Process

- RCOT registered member
