Role summary
This role is for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner within the Early Intervention Team (EIT) Central, focusing on psychosis pathways. You will manage a caseload, providing care coordination and evidence-based interventions to young people and their families. The team offers a supportive environment with regular clinical meetings and opportunities for professional development. Core professions accepted include mental health nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers.
Key responsibilities
- Care coordination of a caseload of people.
- Working alongside the current MDT to deliver NICE concordant care.
- Delivering evidence-based interventions such as psychoeducational work, individual CBT and family therapeutic work.
- Participating in regular clinical team meetings and reflective practice.
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist OR Social Worker with the relevant professional registration
- Completion of Preceptorship
- Ability to travel independently
- Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
- Experience working in community mental health settings
- Experience supervising others/students including preceptorship programme, student placements etc
Desirable criteria
- Recognised Leadership/Management training
- Prevention and Management of Suicide training

Job summary
We are accepting those with core professions from: mental health nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers. (You will require an up-to date registration).
We are a supported team currently made up of clinical psychology, systemic family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapists, mental health practitioners, support workers and a vocational worker, all of whom are from a variety of professional backgrounds. Our team offers clients and their families evidence-based interventions such as psychoeducational work, individual CBT and family therapeutic work aimed at helping our young people and their families to manage their unusual experiences. EIT practitioners work with small manageable caseloads and hold an integrated approach to the care we provide.
Phone calls, teams calls or visits to meet the team and manager are welcomed and encouraged.
