Role summary
This role involves joining the Clinical Governance team to support the Quality Accreditation Assessment programme and CQC self-assessment. The successful candidate will monitor and follow up on action plans, providing a clear view of regulatory compliance. It requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication to ensure outstanding patient care. The position includes line management responsibility within the team.
Essential criteria
- *Degree-level qualification or equivalent specialist knowledge, supported by significant post-qualification experience.
- *Evidence of continuing professional development
- *Line management qualification to at least Level 5 Diploma or equivalent
- *Trained to RSA Level 3 typing skills or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Teaching / training qualification
- *Aware of what quality of care and good clinical governance mean in practice.
- *Experience of operating in a management / leadership role in the NHS.
- *Demonstrates that the patient is centre to all practice and has a priority to get it right for every patient every time.
- *Ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues.
- *Experience of quality assurance processes and reporting
- *Evidence of ability to work outside of traditional professional boundaries
- *Demonstrates effective Leadership skills
- *Experience of supervision of staff
- *Specialist knowledge in CQC regulatory requirements and Fundamental Standards, quality compliance, governance, project management and staff management, acquired through postgraduate diploma-level study or an equivalent combination of advanced training, professional development and substantial practical experience.
- *Excellent written & oral communication skills, with high standards regards attention to detail.
- *Able to form and maintain professional relationships with all members of the multi professional team
- *Evidence of Project Management success and introducing new ideas, ensuring sustainability.
- *Ability to articulate NHS priorities and how these could translate into practice.
- *Computer literate and experience of database management, outlook, power point, word and excel.
- *Ability to write a comprehensive report for all audiences including Board level.
- *Effective influencing and persuasive skills
- *Effective problem-solving skills (in order to be able to respond independently to unexpected situations)
- *Ability to deal with complex time critical situations
- *Good team worker with effective interpersonal skills
