Role summary

This is a temporary full-time role for an experienced and organised Complex Care Administrator to support the effective delivery of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Appeals process and clear a backlog of appeals. The role involves being the first point of contact for CHC appeals, liaising with clinicians and appellants, and independently coordinating appeals within set timescales. Candidates must have previous experience in Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and/or complex care.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Good knowledge an understanding of confidentiality and data governance.
  • Negotiating, influencing, facilitation skills ability to exercise tact and diplomacy, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Significant experience of working within a busy and high-profile environment and with complex issues, competing priorities and workloads
  • Microsoft Office working knowledge with intermediate keyboard skills
  • Previously worked in similar position within the public sector
  • Experience of taking minutes and action notes at meetings

  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy in highly emotional situations, whilst been able to manage own emotions.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis in CHC

Job summary

NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in our five boroughs: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington.

We are looking for an experienced and organised Complex Care Administrator to join our team on a temporary basis to support the effective delivery of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Appeals process and assist with the clearance of a backlog of appeals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and/or complex care who can work independently, manage competing priorities and ensure appeals are progressed accurately, transparently and within agreed timescales.

This is a full-time temporary role of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm . There is some flexibility around start and finish times; however, this is not a part-time position.
