Role summary
The Senior Information Analyst monitors daily feeds into the contract monitoring system (SLAM) to ensure accurate and complete reporting of contract values. This role involves assisting with daily and weekly submissions of Clinical Data Sets to the Secondary Uses Service (SUS) and responding to Commissioner's monthly challenges. The analyst will also develop and maintain contract income reports, supporting the Systems Manager and other stakeholders for the Trust Income System.
Essential criteria
- oEducated to a degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience working at a similar level in a specialist area
- Experience of using Secondary Uses Service (SUS)/Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) Acute datasets
- Acute NHS informatics experience
- Acute NHS income reporting experience
- Acute NHS Contracts experience
Desirable criteria
- Proven experience working within the National Health Service (NHS) financial environment
- Knowledge of the NHS National Tariff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound knowledge and skills of all Microsoft Office products, Structured Query Language (SQL) Server Management Studios, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
- Excellent Excel skills
- Knowledge of CIVICA SLAM
- Numerate and able to analyse and interpret data and information accurately and effectively
- Able to analyse and interpret highly complex information and financial data to assess issues and anticipate problems and provide workable solutions
- Knowledge of the NHS National Tariff
- Knowledge and experience in using PowerBI reporting suite
- Knowledge of visual basics

Reporting into the Systems Manager, the Senior Information Analyst will be responsible for the monitoring of the daily feeds into the contract monitoring system (SLAM) to ensure that the Trust is reporting its contract values accurately and completely.
You will assist with the daily and weekly submissions of the Clinical Data Sets to the Secondary Uses Service (SUS) and liaising with all relevant Trust personnel to ensure the completeness and accuracy of those submissions.
You will assist in responding to the Commissioner's monthly challenges ensuring that they are all answered within the relevant deadlines.
You will be able to develop and maintain contract income reports.
