Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join the CNWL Talking Therapies Service in Kensington and Chelsea. The service provides low and high intensity therapies for common mental health problems. The PWP will deliver standardised assessments and interventions, including guided self-help, in primary care and community settings. The role involves working under close clinical supervision and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Essential criteria
- Qualification from PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate or Level 3 undergraduate course) OR equivalent ,e.g. Experienced and Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with relevant Primary Care experiences and competences as required.
Desirable criteria
- Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, health, social science, and/or research design and analysis.
- Evidence of working with people with mental health problems.
- Experience of working in IAPT/Primary Care Services and delivering low intensity interventions.
- Evidence of having worked in a service where agreed targets were in place to demonstrate effective clinical outcomes.
- Experience of using electronic patient management systems such as IAPTUS or PCMIS or similar.
- Evidence of experience and knowledge of risk assessment, safeguarding and management.
- Research / audit experience.
- Evidence of working in the local community.
- High level communication skills: written and verbal, including telephone skills

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner(PWP) to join our team at CNWL Talking Therapies Service Kensington and Chelsea. We are a large, well established service based in a diverse borough of London. Our service provides low and high intensity therapies at Step 2 and Step 3, alongside our Step 3 counselling service. We are passionate about the work we do and care provided to service users, and work by the trust values of compassion, respect, empowerment and partnership. Our team is key in the work we do and service provided to the population of Kensington and Chelsea.
We are looking for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who are adaptable, enjoy challenges and diversity and demonstrate an enthusiasm for primary care work. We particularly welcome applicants who speak other languages and who have enthusiasm for and experience of working with diversity.
Main duties of the job
You will provide a range of standardised assessments and interventions to people with mild to moderate common mental health problems in primary care and community settings. This may include facilitating the provision of guided self-help and signposting service users to appropriate statutory and voluntary sector services according to their needs.
