Role summary
This full-time Mental Health Practitioner role involves providing recovery-focused care to children and young people in mental health crisis within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team across Oxfordshire. Key responsibilities

Essential criteria
- To have a good knowledge and interest in community care and have specific clinical expertise in mental health.
- To understand and have experience of risk management
- To have an understanding of CMHTs and interdisciplinary working
- Registered Mental Health Nurse or Children's Social Worker or Occupational therapy Professional registration / Professional qualification (degree or equivalent).
- To have appropriate experience, which should include some community and working with mental health. To have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
- To be able to manage in a stressful working environment and with emotional or aggressive patients or carers.
- Adaptable and flexible. Able to use own initiative when appropriate.
- Team player. Reliable. able to build rapport
- Able to travel independently between sites within the Trust to undertake work and have the capacity to carry equipment relative to your post.
Desirable criteria
- To have a good knowledge of community services & To have awareness of national and local issues concerning mental health.
- Community work with people with mental health needs. To have experience of audit.
