Role summary
This role involves leading the Trust's patient experience and engagement agenda, ensuring patient voices influence service delivery and improvement. The manager will provide strategic oversight for patient experience, engagement, volunteer services, and interpreting/translation services. They will develop and deliver programmes to capture, analyse, and act upon patient feedback, using insights to drive quality improvement and reduce inequalities. The position requires working closely with clinical and corporate teams, providing expert advice to senior leaders, and building partnerships with patients and communities to meet national standards.
Essential criteria
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of specialist expertise in patient experience, engagement, co-production and quality improvement.

- Advanced stakeholder management skills including negotiation and influencing at senior level
- Experience of budget management and contract performance management
- Knowledge of CQC requirements relating to patient experience
- Knowledge of patient involvement and co-production approaches
- Experience of working with volunteers or community engagement programmes
- Experience of interpreting national survey datasets
- Experience of presenting reports to Board or senior committees

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Patient Experience and Engagement Manager to lead the Trust's patient experience and engagement agenda, ensuring that the voices of patients, carers, families and local communities influence the delivery, improvement and transformation of services across the Trust.
This senior leadership role will provide strategic oversight of patient experience, engagement, volunteer services, and interpreting and translation services. The postholder will lead the development and delivery of programmes that capture, analyse and act upon patient feedback, including the NHS Friends and Family Test, National Patient Surveys and local engagement initiatives.
