Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the People Services team as a Band 3 Administrator, based at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The role provides essential administrative support to both the Recruitment and HR teams, acting as a first point of contact for various enquiries. It offers valuable exposure to both Recruitment and HR, making it ideal for career development in these areas. You will work in a busy, fast-paced environment, providing a range of administrative support services to ensure smooth delivery of processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to Recruitment and HR teams.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for enquiries via telephone, email and in person.
  • Maintaining accurate employee and recruitment records.
  • Supporting recruitment processes and onboarding activities.
  • Assisting with correspondence, meetings and documentation.
  • Managing and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Delivering excellent customer service.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • Experience of working in an administrative role
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office Word; Excel
  • Experience of working in a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills so as to be able to deal with callers over the phone and in person in a professional and courteous manner
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Be accurate and with an attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Able to convey written and verbal messages in a accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to work with and develop effective partnerships with all key stakeholders.
  • Standard keyboard skills

Desirable criteria

  • NVQ 2 in administration or Customer Service
  • ECDL
  • Experience of NHS systems e.g. ESR / NHS /Intrepid
  • Previous experience of working within NHS
  • Recruitment experience preferably within a Human Resources of Medical Workforce environment
