Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Band 5 Community Occupational Therapist to join an Integrated Community Team. You will assess, treat, and support adults with diverse health needs, providing holistic interventions like rehabilitation, falls prevention, and equipment provision. Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist therapy skills within the Community Care Team.
- Assess and treat own caseload, including complex presentations, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
- Assist senior staff in the education and supervision of junior colleagues, assistants, and students.
- Assist senior staff in daily management of the team and provision of therapy service, deputising for the team leader when absent.
- Assist senior staff in the development and maintenance of an efficient and effective therapy service.
- Contribute to inter-disciplinary working by teaching, learning, and practicing inter-disciplinary skills and techniques.
Essential criteria
- UK Health Professions Council registered Occupational Therapist
- FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE is required at time of applying forrole.
- As this role is out in the community, we cannot accept applicants with a non-GB licence (GOV website states - Driving in Great Britainon a non-GB licence. You can drive in Great Britain on your full, valid driving licence for 12 months from when you became resident. After 12 months you'll need to apply for a provisional licence and pass the theory and practical driving tests to drive in Great Britain.)

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic & motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Community Team. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team known for its collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred rehabilitation and enabling individuals to achieve their goals within their own homes and communities.
As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and support adults with a wide range of health needs. You will provide holistic assessment and intervention, including rehabilitation, falls prevention, moving and handling assessments, postural management, equipment provision, and environmental adaptations to promote independence, safety, and wellbeing.
You will manage a varied caseload and work closely with colleagues across health and social care to support people to remain at home, prevent avoidable deterioration, and facilitate recovery following illness or hospital admission.
