Job summary
We are seeking
an experienced and motivated Band 6 Education Facilitator to join our clinical
team at Haven House on a one-year fixed-term contract from October 2026. This
role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys hands-on clinical practice and is
passionate about supporting the development of others through education,
training and practice development.
You will work a
mixture of clinical shifts and protected education shifts, supporting
colleagues to develop confidence and competence in caring for children with
complex needs. Working alongside the Education and Governance Leads, you will
help embed learning from incidents, audits, research and service developments
into clinical practice, promoting high standards of care and continuous
professional development across the hospice.
Main duties of the job
You will deliver
skilled, compassionate care to babies, children and young people with complex
health needs, including those requiring non-invasive ventilation, long-term
ventilation and parenteral nutrition.
You will provide
safe tracheostomy, gastrostomy and jejunostomy care, emergency interventions
and complex medication administration. You will also support children and
families through end-of-life and bereavement care, acting as a calm and
confident clinical presence and a role model for best practice and high
professional standards.
