The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team has a vacancy for a Band 3 support worker based in [contact details removed], with out-reach into the community.
This is an interesting and varied position, working closely with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists throughout [contact details removed] and in patient’s homes. The aim is to work from within the emergency department, getting people home early in a supported and safe manner.
Once patients have been assessed by a therapist you will help them to regain their previous abilities, or learn new ways of achieving their goals. This is usually done individually, but can be in small groups. If a patient requires two people to treat them you will help the physiotherapist during that patient’s therapy.
